Short Bio

I am originally from Maitland, FL. I completed my B.A. in Physics with a minor in Computer Science at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts. While at Holy Cross I conducted research in the field of Atomic Physics advised by Dr. Timothy Roach. I was a four-year member of the varsity rowing team, earning a bid to compete at the IRA Intercollegiate National Rowing Championships in my senior year.  During my graduate career, I enjoyed working as an Assistant Coach for the William & Mary Rowing Club. I earned my M.S. & Ph.D. in computer science with a focus on software engineering in 2015 and 2018 respectively, advised by Dr. Denys Poshyvanyk. My research interests include mobile software engineering, mining software repositories at large scale, designing techniques that aid developers in more easily creating secure software, and applying emerging machine learning techniques to support software engineering tasks. I was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at George Mason University from 2020-2023, and I am currently an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the University of Central Florida. I am a recipient of the NSF CAREER Award and several Distinguished Paper Awards.
